Discover Some of Nature's Most Fascinating Underwater Creatures

Shark Week 2022 is July 20-23 at Imagination Station!

Sharks can stir up feelings of fear and awe more than any other animal in the sea. These spectacular creatures have outlived dinosaurs and many other forms of life on earth and are essential to marine ecosystems.

Join us as we celebrate these majestic predators during Shark Week at the science center through unique, hands-on opportunities and exciting 3D experiences in the KeyBank Discovery Theater.

Get your Shark Pass for the ultimate experience.

The Imagination Station's Shark Pass includes a ticket to see Great White Shark in the KeyBank Discovery Theater - a film only available during Shark Week - AND a spot in our shark dissection workshop in the Think Tank.

Think Tank Workshop: Shark Dissection

Dive deep into the science of anatomy! Budding biologists will gain a better understanding of various body systems and how they work together as they identify and examine the tissues, structures and organs of a shark - yes, a real-life shark!

Details:

When: July 20-23 (Wednesday-Saturday)

Time: 1pm

Where: Think Tank in IDEA Lab

LIMITED SCREENING: Great White Shark 3D

Misrepresented, maligned and on the verge of
extinction, the great white shark is an iconic predator:
the creature we love to fear.

Great White Shark will explore the great white's place in our imaginations, in our fears and in the reality of its role at the top of the oceanic food chain. The film will concentrate on key aggregation points around the world: Mexico, South Africa, Los Angeles and New Zealand.

Key figures in the history of shark research, people whose lives have been changed by contact with the great white, will tell us of their experiences, culminating in a direct encounter between man and shark.
